The site of no. 1 Tussmannstrasse is a key location beside the Franklin Bridge in Pempelfort, Dusseldorf. It adjoins the existing 6-7 storey, approximately 100 year old buildings of Tussmannstrasse and the new Dusseldorf City Quarter being developed by Interboden and Hochtief. No. 1 Tussmannstrasse has been designed in close co-operation with the Dusseldorf City Planners to act as a bridgehead between old and new districts. O'Neill Consulting (ONC) has provided architectural design services to the project from the earliest stages of the redevelopment of the area in 2001 when ONC bought the Tussmannstrasse 1 site. ONC designed and obtained detailed planning permission for the building which Tecklenburg GmbH has built. |
